Reason #1 - Your Cardio Program
It's a trap that most gym-goers fall into.
You jump onto the treadmill, elliptical, or bike...and you stay there...far too long and without enough exertion.
Quite possibly, you've been using the same cardiovascular routine for ages.
Your heart is a muscle, too...and it needs to be challenged.
But, it needs to be challenged safely and correctly using a formula that is specific to you as an individual.
With that formula and your Target Heart Rate Zone in hand, we will break away from the "same old boring cardio" and burn more calories in the process.
Reason #2 - Avoiding Weightlifting
I've heard a lot of people say that they want to lose some weight before they start lifting weights.
Actually, what they usually say is...
"I want to get in shape before I start lifting weights".
If you are avoiding your weightlifting, you are robbing yourself of fat loss success.
Weightlifting does not mean you are going to look like a bodybuilder or that you have to have tons of rippling muscle all over your body...
But...it is important to add some lean muscle to your frame so that you can begin burning more calories throughout your day...even when you aren't exercising.
Reason #3 - Exercise Selection
I cringe everytime I see someone that wants to lose weight doing bicep curl after bicep curl and tricep pressdown after tricep pressdown.
That's like taking the engine out of a remote controlled car and putting it in the car in your driveway, hoping it will work.
It doesn't.
Choosing exercises that don't match up with your goals and won't impact your goals is a good way to make sure your body doesn't change.
That is not what you want.
Learning compound movements and integrated movements...when to perform them...and how to perform them correctly will help you to make greater strides toward your weight loss success.
Reason #4 - Lack of Consistency
The clients of mine that show up at least 9 out of 10 times see the best results.
There is no way around this one.
If you are 90% consistent, you will see a difference.
Think about all of the times you meant to go to the gym...and think about the reasons you didn't show up.

Hi, I'm David Bohmiller.
My friends call me Boh, my family calls me Dave, and my clients call me names that I can't repeat here...(just kidding...sort of).
For the past 10 years, I have been an active health professional.
I've honed my body transformation and fat loss skills as a Master Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Fitness Director, and teacher to hundreds of Personal Trainers.
The weight loss techniques that I use are a combination of teachings from:
- my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education / Exercise Science from Bridgewater State College
- my National Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS)
- and from the many health workshops and fitness seminars that I attend each year to continue my education.

Yes, of course...
But I wouldn't be as confident as I am that I can help you if I hadn't made mistakes in the past.

In One-On-One or Semi-Private Sessions You Will...
1) Be Given Focused Instruction
Efficiency is key to your results. And, since not everyone learns the same way or moves the same way, the ability to modify exercises accordingly is of the utmost importance. You will find that we are quick to recognize any improper form or technique and make the slight adjustments you'll need to make exercise safe and successful.
2) Have the Support You Need
Whether you choose our group sessions or private personal training, you'll have a friendly and supportive fitness coach with you at all times. We'll be checking in regularly to help hold you accountable for reaching your goals.
3) Learn for Life
Many of our clients stay with us for years. When someone does move away, we're confident that our workouts will continue to have an impact. The physical and nutritional education stays with you for life and the good exercise habits that you've built with us quickly become routine again helping to keep you in shape.
4) Get the Right Kind of Push
We do teach some bootcamp style classes, but we're not all drill sergeants. We know how to push you without ridicule and without yelling. Exercise doesn't have to be humiliating and we're confident that we'll find the right way to give you that extra push.
5) Have Fun
If it isn't fun, you won't do it. We pride ourselves on having a good time, keeping our exercises and activities interesting, and always delivering great workouts. It's part of our goal to make sure that you're always having fun.

Q. What will we do in each session?
A. Each personal training session is tailored to the individual client, however, each will include a warm-up, core exercises, total body conditioning (weight training), heart rate training, a cool down, and stretching.
Q. What equipment will I need? Do I need a home gym?
A. Our Personal Trainers are professionals in fitness assessment, exercise selection, and exercise modification. You will not be required to purchase additional exercise equipment. If you do have an existing home gym, you can be sure we will make use of it.
Q. What if I want to work out with a friend?
The more the merrier. Having a workout buddy makes getting to your goals even more exciting and more fun.
Q. What cities is the body transformation offered in?
A. We are currently accepting Personal Training clients in the South Bay communities of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and El Segundo, California.
