"Personal Trainer Salaries"

Studio Information

With Personal Trainer salaries, as we discussed earlier, a Personal Training health club usually offers an hourly wage along with commissions for actual Personal Training time. If you are concerned about the possibility of earning a varying wage from week to week, then it may be smart to look into Personal Training Studios.

A studio usually offers Personal Trainer salaries on a yearly basis. In some cases, they may also provide a bonus structure, in addition to your salary, based upon the number of Personal Training sessions that you are completing. We'll be taking a closer look at Personal Training studios throughout the country to get specific numbers on what they are currently offering their employees.

An Example from the Field

Here is an example: A local franchise in Boston, MA offers a starting yearly salary of $30,000 - $35,000. Dependent upon your education, you may earn an additional $3 - $5 for each session completed over 40 sessions (1 hour each) within a 2 week time period.

This type of setup may offer a sense of security for a Personal Trainer who is new to the industry and will allow for easier business planning at the start of your career. Knowing the exact amount that you will be receiving either weekly or biweekly is sure to give some people peace of mind in their financial planning.

IMPORTANT: That is not to say that the earning potential at a studio is higher than the potential at a health club.
